Birmingham, which is located in the w midlands, is the 2nd largest city in britain. in fact, the city's wide population is 2nd only to that of the capital. Much of birmingham city centre was destroyed during world war two, and ugly replacement buildings were quickly built. inspite of the cost, since the 90s, Birmingham has been undergoingsome radical changes and a number of the post-war buildings have been replaced. much of the city centre is now pedestrianized, and the canals have also been tidied up to make them image prettier.
